CES 2024, the world's largest technology exhibition, will be held in Las Vegas, USA from January 9 to 12. This exhibition will showcase innovative technologies and products in various fields. Among them, the sleep electronic drug 'Focus' from Watson & Company, a Korean startup, is particularly noteworthy.

Focus is not an oral drug, but a wearable device that stimulates the brain with microcurrents that are safe for the human body. It is said to stimulate the frontal lobe to activate brain plasticity and adjust the balance between the left and right brain to improve concentration, working memory, and stress relief. It is also said to improve sleep quality and alleviate symptoms such as depression and insomnia.

In the second half of 2020, Watson & Company launched the first Class 3 medical device used for medical purposes in existing hospitals as POCUS for public institutions in Korea. After its launch, Incheon Catholic St. Mary's Hospital proved through exploratory clinical trials that it had the effect of improving cerebral blood flow, especially in the frontal lobe, on depression and concentration, and was listed in Acta Radiologica, a global medical SCI journal.

Watson & Company has already received much attention and recognition both domestically and internationally. In Korea, it was introduced to the Jincheon Athletes' Village and the Korea National Sport University Medical Team, and in Korea and Vietnam, it was first introduced to the national swimming team and shooting team at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

For example, the national team players who won the gold medal at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games said that they used Focus to improve the quality of sleep before and after the game, thereby improving fatigue recovery and game concentration. In addition, the Vietnamese national shooting team that participated in the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games also said that they used Focus to improve the quality of sleep and increase the efficiency of game concentration, which helped them win the gold medal.

At this year's CES 2024, we will be introducing POCUS-PRO, a mental healthcare device for professional athletes. This product has the same functions as POCUS, but provides a total mental care solution through emotion recognition and behavioral data analysis. It can identify the user's emotional state and behavioral patterns in real time and provide the optimal brain stimulation program to manage mental health.
