The Korea National Sport University Medical Team announced that they have introduced Watson & Company’s wearable brain neuromodulation device, ‘Focus_Pro’, to improve the mental care of athletes.

This device uses a technology that activates brain plasticity by stimulating the frontal lobe with microcurrents that are safe for the human body. This technology is a brain science technology that has been medically verified through 8,413 papers worldwide, and is known to be effective in improving various mental symptoms such as depression, anxiety, stress, and sleep disorders.

The Korea National Sport University Medical Team determined that mental care is important in addition to physical care for athletes’ performance and health. Therefore, they are providing Focus_Pro equipment to athletes, educating them on how to use it and its effects, and regularly monitoring them.

A medical team official said, “Athletes who used the ‘Focus_Pro’ equipment experienced reduced stress and anxiety, and improved sleep quality and concentration,” and “It is helping to protect athletes’ mental health and improve their performance as a digital mental device.”

Meanwhile, since the launch of the 'Focus_Pro' equipment in 2020, Watson & Company has proven its technological prowess and effectiveness both domestically and internationally, and has expanded beyond public institutions to the sports market. Accordingly, the shooting and archery teams that will be active as national representatives for the Vietnamese Olympics are also scheduled to introduce this equipment this month.
