[Media Today = Reporter Sang-il Ahn] Osan City Mental Health Welfare Center will introduce tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) to its mental health prevention program starting this month.

The city operates various prevention programs throughout the year for citizens who complain of mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety.

The programs include ▲ Mind Eye Level Program for managing excessive stress and depression ▲ Outing Program for emotional ventilation of middle-aged women struggling with menopause ▲ Dodam Dodam Program for strengthening communication between parents and children ▲ Elementary school student linkage program ‘You Can Do It Too’ for improving sociality and attention ▲ Operation of the Mind Peace Bus that visits any area in need of mental health services, etc.

The newly introduced tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) this month will be utilized in individual or group programs to further strengthen psychological support services for citizens who need mental health improvement.

Ko Dong-hoon, the director of the health center, said, “As the importance of mental health is increasing day by day, we will continue to make various efforts to protect the mental health of Osan citizens.”
